Ruling Party MP attacked by armed robbers in Waterloo

Hon. Musa Baimba Foray Jalloh of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party is hospitalised after he was attacked by armed robbers. The incident happened at the MP’s his residence in Waterloo outside Freetown. The robbers also stole money and valuables worth millions of Leones. Sources say Hon. Jalloh was with his family when the alleged robbers attacked the house and left several members of the Jalloh family wounded.

This robbery on the house of a sitting MP of the ruling party at a time the country is under state of emergency has triggered a debate and questions on the seriousness of the security in the fight against Covid-19 and the enforcement of law and order. Meanwhile, police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to bring to book those responsible. The MP representing constituency 056 in Tonkolili district is presently responding to treatment.
