The people of Bombali Bana in the Safrako Limba Chiefdom, Bombali District are calling on Government and goodwill ambassadors to help complete their health center.
According to the village development committee Chairman Yillah Sesay, the health Center was a project they asked for from the former Member of Parliament Hon. Albert Deen Kamara of Constituency 034 in 2017 to reduce their health stress. He said the community is faced with health care challenge especially with women and children under the age of five who have to walk for hours to access the nearest health facility.
“One has to walk five miles to access the nearest health center in Binkolo. This situation has even caused pregnant women to deliver their babies on their way to health Center at times”, Yillah said. He further said the Honorable started the construction during his campaign to be re-elected for a second term. But unfortunately, since he lost the APC party symbol, to the current Honorable Ibriham Ben Kargbo, the former MP abandoned the project and that they have not heard from him since then.
Responding, former MP Hon. Albert Deen Kamara said he indeed promised to complete the project wither he was elected or not. But unfortunately, he is facing difficulties and can’t fulfil that objective at the moment.
Albert Deen Kamara said the health Center project at Bombali Bana is closed to his heart and therefore calls on Government and other NGO partners to help complete the project as it is a felt need for the People of Bombali Bana and its environs.
